Fruit Moose is all about fruit. Big fruit, small fruit, weird fruit, wild fruit. If you can grow it, pick it, or eat it – we’re into it!

Meet Ellie

We believe everyone should be able to grow and enjoy fresh fruit, whether that means a mango tree in the yard, a dwarf blueberry in a pot, or a passionfruit vine twining over the chook pen. From juicy harvests to quirky fruit facts, Fruit Moose celebrates the sweet, sour, and surprising world of homegrown fruit.

Led by Ellie – a certified nutrition coach, permaculture teacher, naturopath, and fruit fanatic – Fruit Moose blends hands-on knowledge with real-world experience. It’s a space where tropical trees meet suburban patios, and where fruit isn’t just a snack. It’s a way of life!

What You’ll Find on the Blog

On the blog, you’ll find practical growing tips, seasonal fruit guides, how-tos for container and backyard fruit growing, and the occasional family-favorite recipe. If it’s edible and grows on a plant, we’ll probably talk about it.

Ellie’s background is as rich and varied as the fruit she grows. She’s a certified permaculture teacher with a diploma in naturopathy, specialising in herbal medicine. everything changes.
When the mangoes ripen

During mango season, Elle’s farm turns into a tropical jungle bursting with scent, color, and fruit. The old mango trees – some over a hundred years old – aren’t just part of the landscape. They’re part of the story. Their fruit ends up in smoothies, juices, fermenting jars, and sticky hands, season after season.

and the rhythm of the seasons

Life on the farm is something Elle shares with her two daughters, who are always on the lookout for the next ripe fruit. From cucamelons and raspberries to dragon fruit and cherry tomatoes, there’s always something ready to pick, taste, or tuck into a basket. Mango season is the clear favorite – but every season brings its own kind of magic.
